We aim to ensure that each building we design has its own environmental integrity, working with the specific characteristics and physical constraints of the site and its location.
By exploring a site’s natural environment, we seek to maximise the potential for energy efficiency. Considerations such as passive solar design, natural ventilation, thermal mass and breathable construction are all explored from the outset to allow both the building and the client to benefit.
It has long been our philosophy to design and create buildings based on progressive environmental principles, allowing architecture to be integrated with and informed by the natural environment. This applies equally to a sensitive rural green-field site or, by contrast, an urban brown-field location.
