Renewable Technologies

As part of our approach to high quality sustainable design, we assess the overall environmental criteria and objectives from the outset of a project.

Where possible, an environmental feasibility study is undertaken and analysed using national standards (such as BREEAM) to ensure the best outcome can be achieved in relation to the clients brief and budget.

Working in close collaboration with energy consultants, this study will determine the feasibility of renewable technologies that can help to reduce the ‘carbon footprint’ and increase the energy efficiency for the proposed building together with potential financial benefits. LED Architects have worked successfully with the integration of technologies such as biomass wood pellet boilers, rainwater harvesting, geothermal or air source (heat pump) heating, solar thermal hot water heating, photovoltaics, wind power etc.
